While walking in the region:
. Always carry water, food (choose light food) and a garbage bag;
. In the summer avoid the hottest hours (from 11:00 to 16:00) and apply sun screen;
. During the rainy season be particularly careful while in transit (either walking or by any kind of vehicle) since some of the water courses and trails may become more difficult to cross;
. If you are allergic to hay, pollen or any other agent, always carry an antihistamine with you;
. Stray dogs are usually harmless, but take care;
. Although tame, livestock dislikes strangers near its offspring, therefore keep a responsible distance from the animals to avoid disturbance;
. Do not pick fruits or any wild products without the authorization and consent of a specialized technician;
. Avoid taking pets with you. If you do, restrain them (put them on leash and muzzle).
For your safety:
. Prefer to walk with company, carry the contacts of local authorities and inform others of your departure and destination;
. If you stop in a concrete road or any other busy place pay attention to avoid endangering yourself or others sharing the space;
. Avoid dangerous locations (slopes or flooded terrain, rocky areas, etc.);
. During the hunting season minimize the disturbance of the species and sites by avoiding hunting days.
